NEW PUBLICATION PROJECTS

The INDAAR Executive is pleased to announce two major projects:

1. A Reader on Asian Diaspora and Visual Culture

Edited by Dean Chan (Edith Cowan University), Margo Machida (University of Connecticut), Alexandra Chang (Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU), and Jacqueline Lo (The Australian National University)

We have been invited to develop a proposal for this reader for a major international academic publisher. This will be a special joint initiative between INDAAR and Diasporic Asian Art Network (DAAN).

2. A Journal Special Issue on Diasporic Asian Visual Culture

Edited by Dean Chan and Michelle Yee (City University of New York)

We are currently finalising arrangements and plan to issue the call for papers at the end of this year.

More details about both projects will be communicated to INDAAR members and announced on this website in due course.

In related news, Lo, Chan, and Tseen Khoo (Monash University) have recently completed work on their guest edited special issue of Amerasia Journal on “Asian Australia and Asian America: Transnational Connections.” This volume will be published later this year and full details made available on this website.
